Taxonomy
Cladida was named by Moore and Laudon (1943). It is extant. It was considered unknown by Moore and Laudon (1943) and monophyletic by Wright et al. (2017).

It was reranked as the order Cladida by Webster and Lane (2007), Webster et al. (2009) and Wright et al. (2017).

It was assigned to Inadunata by Ramsbottom (1958) and Burke (1977); to Camerata by Webster et al. (1999); to Crinoidea by Moore and Laudon (1943), Sepkoski (2002), Webster and Lane (2007) and Webster et al. (2009); and to Inadunata by Wright et al. (2017).
