Taxonomy
Polypora abadehensis was named by Sakagami (1980). Its type specimen is DESC-80028 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Abadeh, Collection C-13, Hambast Mountains, which is in a Capitanian marine limestone in the Abadeh Formation of Iran.
