Taxonomy
Magniplicatina johannis was named by Angiolini (1995). Its type specimen is CK365-14, a valve (Ventral valve), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is CK365, Lashkargaz section, which is in a Kungurian carbonate mixed carbonate-siliciclastic in the Lashkargaz Formation of Pakistan.
