Taxonomy
Somoholites serus was named by Bogoslovskaya (1997). Its type specimen is PIN 4671/2 and is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Vaigach Island, sample M-72, which is in an Asselian marine siliciclastic in the Sezymskaya Formation of the Russian Federation.
