Taxonomy
Polypora keyserlingiformis was named by Snyder and Gilmour (2006). Its type specimen is SU 1005 and is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Gerster Ls., Medicine Range Section, which is in a Wordian open shallow subtidal packstone/lime mudstone in the Gerster Formation of Nevada.
