Taxonomy
Paraconularia spatia was named by Waterhouse (1986). Its type specimen is UQF 73910 and is a mold. Its type locality is UQ L4828, Cracow-Theodore Area, which is in a Roadian marginal marine siliciclastic in the Pindari Formation of Australia.
