Taxonomy
Paucispinauria paucispinosa was named by Waterhouse (1986). Its type specimen is UQ F70137, a valve (Ventral valve, external mold), and it is a mold. Its type locality is UQ L4320, Ross Creek Tributary, Cracow Station, which is in a Roadian coastal sandstone in the Brae Formation of Australia.
It was recombined as Terrakea paucispinosa by Briggs (1998).
