Taxonomy
Elimata symmetrica was named by Waterhouse (1987). Its type specimen is UQF 70737, a valve (Left valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UQ L4108, Ross Creek Tributary, Cracow Station, which is in a Roadian foreshore conglomerate/sandstone in the Brae Formation of Australia.
