Taxonomy
Coledium elvinia was named by Waterhouse (1986). Its type specimen is UQF 74112 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UQ L4555, Buffel Hill, Cracow Homestead, which is in an Artinskian coastal siltstone/sandstone in the Buffel Formation of Australia.
