Taxonomy
Lepidocrania tardispinosa was named by Cooper and Grant (1974). Its type specimen is USNM 152582a, a valve, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is USNM707e, Sullivan Peak, Glass Mountains, which is in a Roadian slope limestone in the Road Canyon Formation of Texas. It is the type species of Lepidocrania.
