Taxonomy
Gratiosina insculpta was named by Grant (1976). Its type specimen is USNM 212386, a shell (Articulated shell), and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Transennatia insculpta by Sone et al. (2003), Chen (2004), Wu et al. (2022) and Viaretti et al. (2022).
