Taxonomy
Thamnoporella armata was named by Tchudinova (2000). Its type specimen is PIN 3203/1 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kun'oveem River, Penzhinskii District, which is in an Asselian/Artinskian marine horizon in the Russian Federation.
