Taxonomy
Anaspyroceras was named by Shimizu and Obata (1935) [Sepkoski's age data: O Llde D Sieg-u Sepkoski's reference number: 298,524]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Orthoceratidae by Crick (1981) and Evans (1994); and to Dawsonoceratidae by Kröger and Isakar (2006) and Kröger (2008).
