Mexicoceras guadalupense
Taxonomy
Waagenoceras guadalupense was named by Girty (1908) [Waagenoceras cummingsi var. guadalupense]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS 2965 green, southern Delaware Mountains, which is in a Roadian/Capitanian slope limestone in the Delaware Mountain Formation of Texas. It is the type species of Mexicoceras.
It was recombined as Mexicoceras guadalupense by Zhao (1980), Bogoslovskaya (1990), Leonova (2002) and Leonova (2010).
