Taxonomy
Uraloceras omolonense was named by Bogoslovskaya and Boiko (2002). Its type specimen is PIN 1802/45 and is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Rulon Creek 11-1, Munugudzhak River, Omolon Basin, which is in an Artinskian coastal sandstone in the Munugudzhak Formation of the Russian Federation.
