Taxonomy
Uraloceras alekense was named by Bogoslovskaya (1976). Its type specimen is PIN 3638/97 and is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Alexandrovka Village, Sverdlovsk Region, which is in a Kungurian marine horizon in the Koshelevskaya Formation of the Russian Federation.
It was recombined as Clausiuraloceras alekense by Kutygin (2018).
