Neochonetes (Sommeriella) vialis
Taxonomy
Chonetes vialis was named by Reed (1944). Its type specimen is GSI 16899 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Near Kumaranwali dhok, Salt Range, which is in a Wordian carbonate limestone in the Amb Formation of Pakistan.
It was recombined as Neochonetes vialis by Termier et al. (1974); it was recombined as Neochonetes (Sommeriella) vialis by Archbold (1983) and Angiolini (1996).
