Taxonomy
Hustedia hyporhachis was named by Hoover (1981). Its type specimen is USNM 221401, a shell (Articulated shell), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Altamira House, Locality 10, Palo Quemado Trail, which is in a Kungurian offshore shelf wackestone/siltstone in the Palmarito Formation of Venezuela.
