Tennericyathus rarus

Taxonomy
Rarocyathus rarus was named by Osadchaya et al. (1979). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Krutoy Log, Sukhie Solontsy bioherm, Batenevskiy Ridge, unit 3, which is in an Atdabanian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Usa Formation of the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Rarocyathus.

It was recombined as Raropectinus rarus by Debrenne and Rozanov (1983); it was recombined as Tennericyathus rarus by Debrenne et al. (2015).
