Taxonomy
Derbyia haroubi was named by Angiolini (1997). Its type specimen is MPUM 7917, a valve (Ventral valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Saiwan 1 OL15, which is in a Sakmarian deltaic sandstone in the Saiwan Formation of Oman.
