Punctocyrtella spinosa
Taxonomy
Punctocyrtella spinosa was named by Plodowski (1968) [Type at Instituts fur Palaontologie der Universitat Bonn]. Its type specimen is SMF 25002, a shell (Articulated shell), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Dorf Nau-Bauri, Dacht-e-Nawar, which is in a Sakmarian carbonate limestone in Afghanistan. It is the type species of Punctocyrtella.
It was recombined as Licharewia spinosa by Termier et al. (1974).
