Spirelytha petaliformis

Rhynchonellata - Spiriferida - Elythidae

Taxonomy
Kitakamithyris petaliformis was named by Pavlova (1973). Its type specimen is PIN 2774/174, a shell (Articulated shell), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kastanat-Djilga 1, Bazardarin Fm, which is in a Sakmarian coastal siltstone in the Bazardarin Formation of Tajikistan.

It was recombined as Spirelytha petaliformis by Shi and Waterhouse (1991), Angiolini (1995), Shen et al. (2000), Shi et al. (2001), Mohd Shafeea Leman (2003) and Angiolini et al. (2005).
