Pteroplecta niger

Taxonomy
Spirifer niger was named by Waagen (1883). Its type specimen is GSI 3529 and is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Amb, "Chonetes Bed", Salt Range, which is in a Wordian coastal sandstone in the Amb Formation of Pakistan.

It was recombined as Spirifer (Paeckelmanella) niger by Reed (1944); it was recombined as Neospirifer niger by Lee and Gu (1980); it was recombined as Pteroplecta niger by Waterhouse (2004).
