Betaneospirifer marcoui

Taxonomy
Spirifer marcoui was named by Waagen (1883). Its type specimen is GSI 3519 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pail, upper beds of Lower Productus-limestone, Salt Range, which is in a Capitanian carbonate limestone in the Amb Formation of Pakistan.

It was recombined as Spirifer (Neospirifer) marcoui by Reed (1944); it was recombined as Neospirifer marcoui by Lee and Gu (1980) and Xiong (1990); it was recombined as Betaneospirifer marcoui by Waterhouse (2004).
