Sverdrupites harkeri

Taxonomy
Spirolegoceras harkeri was named by Ruzhentsev (1961). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is GSC 26406, Lyall River, Grinnell Peninsula, Devon Island, which is in a Roadian offshore shelf sandstone/limestone in the Assistance Formation of Canada. It is the type species of Sverdrupites.

It was recombined as Sverdrupites harkeri by Nassichuk (1970), Andrianov (1985), Kutygin (1996), Leonova (2002) and Leonova and Shilovsky (2014).
