Schizodus texanus

Bivalvia - Trigoniida - Schizodidae

Taxonomy
Schizodus texanus was named by Clifton (1942). Its type specimen is Iowa State University, unnumbered, a shell (Articulated internal mould), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Quanah, Hardeman County, which is in a Kungurian shallow subtidal limestone in the Blaine Formation of Texas.
