Taxonomy
Silvaseptopora incaica was named by Chronic (1949). Its type specimen is AMNH 26982 5:1 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is AMNH301, Bed 30, Rasuvilca Hills section 9, Pajege Canyon, which is in an Asselian/Sakmarian marine limestone in Peru.
It was recombined as Septopora incaica by Sakagami (1995) and Sakagami (2004).
