Meekella occidentalis

Taxonomy
Streptorhynchus occidentalis was named by Newberry (1861). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is USNM768, Camp 73, Cascado River, Grand Canyon, which is in a Kungurian open shallow subtidal limestone in the Kaibab Formation of Arizona.

It was recombined as Meekella occidentalis by McKee (1938), Stehli and Grant (1970) and Cooper and Grant (1974).
