Taxonomy
Meekella texana was named by King (1931) [Meekella irregularis texana]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is R.E. King 199, Wolf Camp Hills, Glass Mountains, which is in a Gzhelian marine shale in the Gaptank Formation of Texas.
