Echinosteges guadalupensis
Taxonomy
Aulosteges guadalupensis was named by Shumard (1858). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is White limestone of the Guadalupe Mountains, which is in a Capitanian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Capitan Formation of Texas.
It was recombined as Strophalosia (Aulosteges) guadalupensis by Shumard (1859); it was recombined as Rhamnaria guadalupensis by Muir-Wood and Cooper (1960); it was recombined as Echinosteges guadalupensis by Cooper and Grant (1975).
