Taxonomy
Echinauris parva was named by Cooper and Grant (1975). Its type specimen is USNM 154834f, a shell (Articulated shell), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is USNM703c, Old Word Ranch, Glass Mountains, which is in a Kungurian slope limestone in the Road Canyon Formation of Texas.
