Echinauris subhorrida
Taxonomy
Productus subhorridus was named by Meek (1877). Its type specimen is USNM 15144 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is North slope of Moleen Peak, Elko Range, west side of Long Valley, which is in a Guadalupian carbonate limestone in Nevada.
It was recombined as Horridonia subhorrida by Coogan (1960); it was recombined as Echinauris subhorrida by Cooper and Grant (1975), Wardlaw (1977) and Yancey (1978).
