Taxonomy
Antiquatonia inflativentra was named by Cooper and Grant (1975). Its type specimen is USNM 148965c, a valve (Ventral valve), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is USNM703l, Montgomery Ranch, Glass Mountains, which is in a Gzhelian marine limestone in the Gaptank Formation of Texas.
