Taxonomy
Hustedia elongata was named by Cooper (1953). Its type specimen is USNM 115559 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USNM806d, Cerros de los Monos, El Antimonio, Sonora, which is in a Wordian marine limestone in the Antimonio Formation of Mexico.
