Aviculipecten montpelierensis

Taxonomy
Aviculipecten montpelierensis was named by Girty (1910). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS 3511, Cap Rock Mine, Montpelier Canyon, Bear Lake County, which is in a Roadian carbonate limestone in the Phosphoria Formation of Idaho.

It was recombined as Streblochondria montpelierensis by Newell (1937), Newell (1938) and Ciriacks (1963); it was recombined as Streblopteria montpelierensis by Newell and Boyd (1995) and Quiroz-Barroso et al. (2012).
