Taxonomy
Krotovia vollossovitschi was named by Fredericks (1931) [Lectotype given in Abramov & Grigorieva (1988)]. Its type specimen is TsGM 61/10902 and is not a trace fossil.
It was recombined as Taeniothaerus vollossovitschi by Ustritsky and Chernyak (1963); it was recombined as Strophalosia vollossovitschi by Kashirtsev (1959) and Abramov and Grigorieva (1988).
