Taxonomy
Daixites meglitzkyi was named by Ruzhentsev (1941). Its type specimen is PIN 320/149 and is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Ural river, northwest of Ilinskoe, bed 29, which is in a Gzhelian marine siliciclastic in the Russian Federation.
