Taxonomy
Juresanites intermedius was named by Shkolin (1992). Its type specimen is PIN 4441/160 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Aidaralash Creek, Bed 36/2, which is in a Sakmarian marine mudstone in Kazakhstan.
