Taxonomy
Paragastrioceras strigosum was named by Ruzhentsev (1952). Its type specimen is PIN 591/1884 and is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Svetlanoceras strigosum by Ruzhentsev (1974), Bogoslovskaya et al. (1995) and Leonova (2002).
