Semilingula occidentaustralis
Taxonomy
Lingula occidentaustralis was named by Archbold (1981) [Holotype at Geology Department, University of Melbourne]. Its type specimen is MUGDF5181, a shell (Articulated shell), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is UWA WL7, Garden Road, Coolkilya Flat, which is in an Artinskian marine siltstone in the Quinnanie Formation of Australia.
It was recombined as Semilingula occidentaustralis by Yegorov and Popov (1990).
