Catenispongia agaricus
Taxonomy
Catenispongia agaricus was named by Finks (1995). Its type specimen is USNM 128060 and is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is USNM728, Guadalupe Pass, Guadalupe Mountains, which is in a Roadian slope limestone in the Cherry Canyon Formation of Texas. It is the type species of Catenispongia.
