Tautosia elegans

Taxonomy
Pugnax elegans was named by Girty (1908) [Lectotype selected by Cooper & Grant (1976a)]. Its type specimen is USNM 118565, a shell (Articulated shell), and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Pugnoides elegans by King (1931); it was recombined as Wellerella elegans by Walter (1953) and Stehli (1954); it was recombined as Tautosia elegans by Cooper and Grant (1976).
