Pterochiton newelli
Taxonomy
Pterochiton newelli was named by Smith (1976). Its type specimen is USNM 211133, a valve (Intermediate valve), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is USNM726d, Hess Canyon, Glass Mountains, which is in a Roadian slope limestone in the Road Canyon Formation of Texas.
