Myalinella acutirostris
Taxonomy
Myalina acutirostris was named by Newell and Burma (1941). Its type specimen is Univ. Wisc. 20846, a valve (Left valve), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Section 63, Block E2, Briscoe County, which is in a Changhsingian peritidal dolomite in the Quartermaster Formation of Texas.
It was recombined as Myalina (Myalinella) acutirostris by Newell (1942); it was recombined as Myalinella acutirostris by McRoberts and Newell (2005).
