Taxonomy
Hesperiella wordensis was named by Batten (1989). Its type specimen is USNM 431573 and is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is USNM707d, Lenox Hills, Glass Mountains, which is in a Kungurian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Skinner Ranch Formation of Texas.
