Taxonomy
Baylea huecoensis was named by Batten (1989). Its type specimen is USNM 434066 and is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is USNM700f, Decie Ranch, Glass Mountains, which is in a Virgilian marine limestone in the Gaptank Formation of Texas.
