Taxonomy
Cimomia kugleri was named by Miller (1947) [DISTRIBUTION: Paleocene; Caribbean.]. It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Marac Quarry (Rutsch locality 22), which is in a Thanetian marine limestone in the Soldado Formation of Trinidad and Tobago.
