Hercoglossa walteri
Taxonomy
Hercoglossa walteri was named by Miller (1947) [DISTRIBUTION: Paleocene; Gulf Coastal Plain.]. Its type specimen is SUI 1085, a partial shell, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is South of Highway 96, northeast of Kimbrough, which is in a Danian deep subtidal ramp packstone in the Clayton Formation of Alabama.
