Hercosestria notialis
Taxonomy
Hercosestria notialis was named by Stehli and Grant (1970). Its type specimen is USNM 163564, a valve (Ventral valve), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is USNM9258, Sierra Los Cuchumatanes (FS-67-G-7), which is in a Kungurian marine limestone in the Chochal Formation of Guatemala.
