Taxonomy
Hoskingia dieneri was named by Waterhouse (1978). Its type specimen is UQF 68982, a shell (Articulated shell), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is W1295, Popa, Karnali, which is in a Changhsingian marine siliciclastic in the Senja Formation of Nepal.
